Update to Adobe DPS Enables Free Article Preview

Adobe announced an update to its Digital Publishing Suite (DPS) tablet publishing solution. The latest release allows publishers to make selected articles free to all while allowing only paid subscribers to access additional articles. Users can tap the Preview button to download and read all free articles. When a user navigates to other articles in the app, a paywall prompts them to purchase the folio. This new feature is currently only supported on the iPad.

Other improvements include support for PDFs in both the Android Viewer and the Desktop Viewer, full iPhone 5 support and an improved dashboard. There have also been significant new features added to the Web Viewer including the ability of publishers to embed shared Web Viewer articles in their Web site and to create Web Viewer-only folios that don’t need to conform to standard device resolutions.

Beyond ROI: Getting Management to Approve Your DAM

It’s a common story: You need a digital asset management (DAM) system but are having a hard time convincing “the people who write the checks” to put money in the budget for it. You’ve tried to make your case by describing the return on investment (ROI) that a DAM system offers, but found that the ROI of DAM is difficult to fully measure and articulate.

In this webinar Modula4 CEO Jon Hornstein presents strategies you can use to convince decision makers in your organization that NOT having a DAM isn’t only a missed opportunity to increase efficiency but also poses a significant risk to the business.

Whether you’re trying to deploy your first DAM system or are seeking funding to expand an existing one, don’t miss this informative webinar.
