Our module simplifies usage enormously due to a trimmed-down design, intuitive user-guidance and significantly increased speed. We use the newest technologies to make your websites even more interactive. Last but not least, we offer many new functions never before available in the Canto-Web Publisher. Frequently used functions have been simplified and so have become more accessible to new users.

One special feature we offer is the Lightbox. Here you can store assets as collections and make them available to others. To do so just send out a link (not the files). The addressee can then take a look at your selected assets and work with them.

Moreover, our add-ons offer a wider range of additional functions. For example, you can incorporate a discussion board or monitor the user behavior with the help of the Log Module.

Among the most important ones are:

Increased Speed

You will be more than amazed by the increased speed. The browser just reloads the portions of the web page that have actually changed; it doesn't have to reload the entire page. So, for example, a customer can place more merchandise items into a shopping cart, without having to wait for the entire web page to reload after each transaction. This feature alone can significantly increase the speed of your workflow.

Using Smart Caching, we have accelerated the preview display. If you want to see a preview in a different size, it appears significantly faster. If you have already called up a certain preview image during this session, it now appears immediately upon call-up.

User-Friendly Design

To get the best overall impression of our Web Module's successful design, check out our online demo. See for yourself, how clearly our toolbars and tabs are laid out. That way you and your clients will navigate faster and easier. User-guidance is also more intuitive.

Numerous features add to greater convenience. The optimal number of records for your application will automatically be determined by the size of your browser window. You no longer have to manually add rows or columns just to fill up your screen. You no longer have to manually add lines or spaces just to fully utilize the space in your browser window.

We've designed the web module to accommodate plug-ins, and specific fields have been designed with enough room to allow for continued modifications. We've even added a special information area for administrators, where you can store and reference your own additional entries and reports.

The web module is based on standard XHTML and CSS, so that you can modify all elements of the website simply and centrally in the module's CSS data.

Improved Functionality

To make work easier for you and to optimize the workflow, we have improved several functions. We simplified complex procedures and added new functions.

Among them:

Open one or more Web Publisher catalogs, without having to log in and out multiple times
Choose the fields that you want to be accessible with a Quick Search function, while you are conducting the search – you don't have to go back to a set-up screen
Reference and use previous stored searches directly from the home page, without having to go to another page
Retrieve prior Quick Searches easily from a drop-down menu of recently conducted search terms, so you don't have to type them in again
Take advantage of our pre-integrated search modules
View Quick Info for another record, without having to leave the page you're already on
Use a lever to scale the size of the preview between 512 and 2500 pixels
Expand the display area of the category tree so even long names can be shown unabbreviated
Choose the option for seeing the complete category path in the Quick Info
Load and store your collections, with the ability to set access privileges for other users
Apply conversion and selection rules to all downloadable images and data with a single click
Print all displayed records with a single mouse-click

Add-Ons

Our add-ons feature more, added functions, some of them quite elaborate. Due to our Web Module's architecture, you can activate add-ons easily without making further adjustments and going through elaborate re-programming procedures.

The following add-ons will be available shortly:

Image Converter Web

This add-on allows you to choose freely which records are scaled to which size using which format. This way you are no longer confined to pre-defined conversions. Of course, you can save the selected conversions and use them as often as you like. Projected release: May 2008.

Discussion Board

A discussion board boosts cooperation within your company. You can ask questions regarding usage but also get information about individual records. If discussions revolve around a specific record, the forum's overview will display the corresponding thumbnail. If you click the thumbnail, you can call up the Quick Info within the forum. The other functions are available as usual. Projected release: June 2008.

Log Module Add-On

Soon we will be offering our time-tested Log Module as an add-on for our Web Module. Two modules in one and the added convenience of the Log Module's report functions. Projected release: July 2008.

System Requirements

The Web Module is based on Cumulus 7 and the Web Publisher Pro 3.0. Therefore, the same system requirements apply as for these programs.
