Cumulus 7.5 released

The new version of Cumulus offers extended compatibility, numerous new functionalities as well as several improvements to the user interface. Here are some of the most important ones:

Cumulus 7.5 now is Windows Vista-compatible. It supports Adobe InDesign CS3, 50 new RAW digital-cameras formats as well as the Apple iWorks applications Pages and Keynote.
Master Category Tabs can be hidden; administrators can define tab sets, so clients cannot see the tab „Sources” for example.
Thumbnails and previews of PowerPoint files can now be created directly in PowerPoint. Individual PDF pages can be merged into a new PDF document
The Scheduler now allows the automatic import of externally saved metadata. For instance, you can easily update fields with product prices, whose values are derived from external accounting systems.
With the help of improved triggers, Cumulus 7.5 can run activities when a certain value is entered into a certain field. If, let's say, a status field is set to „past due”, an automatic warning can be mailed to you.
The new version offers catalog journaling, a technique that makes catalogs more stable, so that server failures are weathered with virtually no damaging effects.
