Cumulus 7 released

The latest version of Cumulus Software offers a number of improvements for functionality in workflow management and access rights management. If you’re already familiar with the program, the first thing you’ll notice is the redesigned user interface. It’s even more intuitive and user-friendly than before, and soon you’ll be navigating it with ease.

All Cumulus server solutions provide the capability to define and manage relationships between different digital assets automatically. Now, with the introduction of new functions, even more work tasks can be automated. For example, now you can create event dependent actions that can be triggered by events such as the completion of specific work tasks, the modification of contents in a field, or the generation of a new dataset. Even time-controlled functions are handled.

There’s more that differentiates Cumulus 7 in the area of access rights management. For example, it’s possible to define and limit access rights to metadata fields on an individual as well as group basis. If desired, certain individuals’ access to specific assets or categories can later be expanded. Administrators will also have the capability to grant or pull access to different assets or categories as required.
